“Post & Grant” at the de Young Museum
exhibited
Sept. 30, 2023 to Jan. 7, 2024

Post & Grant was selected by the de Young museum jury to be featured in The de Young Open 2023, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco’s prestigious triennial juried art exhibition.

Post & Grant is based on a  photograph taken from the street level café at Neiman Marcus, Post Street, San Francisco

I have always had an interest in buildings, having started drawing my childhood house on picnic paper plates at a very young age. I loved and cherished a new box of Crayolas, my vehicle of expression. From there architecture has alway held my imagination, cities in particular with the way high rises intersect, and window patterns cover the interior life of a building. What goes on in those little square cubicles, the offices of rooms upon rooms, and what is the street facade hiding as the sun dances along the down town canyons and reflects in sightless windows, these are some of the questions that keep me endlessly fascinated.
